Does the color of my hummingbird feeder impact attraction rates?
I'm experimenting with different colored hummingbird feeders in my garden here in California, where I’ve got a variety of blossoms. Currently, I have red and clear feeders. I’ve observed some variations in the number of visits, and I'm curious if the color of the feeder actually plays a significant role in attracting these birds. I've set up a couple of feeders side by side, but I’m not seeing a consistent pattern. Can anyone provide insights or studies that might illuminate how color impacts hummingbird attraction? Any help would be appreciated!
