How do I incorporate annuals into my native plant landscape?
As someone passionate about native plants, I'm always trying to find ways to blend annual flowers into my landscaping without compromising my sustainable vision! I've got a good collection of indigenous plants that attract local wildlife, but I’d love to add some seasonal interest with annuals. My challenge is ensuring that these non-natives won’t disrupt the local ecosystem. I tried adding some cosmos and zinnias last season, but they didn’t fit in as well as I had hoped. Has anyone succeeded in selecting annuals that harmonize with native species? What criteria should I use to ensure they mesh well with my existing landscape? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
