Is decorative garden edging practical for a vegetable garden?

I'm in the process of redesigning my vegetable garden to make it both functional and beautiful! 🌼 I love the idea of using decorative garden edging to give it a polished look, but I'm wondering if it’s actually practical for growing vegetables. My current setup is balanced with both raised beds and in-ground plants, and I want to ensure that whatever I choose won't impede growth or watering. Have any of you tried this?
