How do I get my lotus flowers to bloom more in my small pond?
I'm really excited about my new garden setup, but I've been struggling to get my lotus flowers to bloom in the small pond I created on my balcony. I live in Tokyo, and while I've read that lotus flowers need plenty of sunlight, I'm wondering if my setup is just too cramped for them. I've tried adjusting the water levels and ensuring they get direct sunlight for a good part of the day, but I still only see a few blooms here and there. My pond is relatively shallow and filled with water lilies too. I want to create a beautiful water garden, but I could use some tips on what might be missing or how to tweak my conditions to encourage more blooming!
