Can I use companion planting in my butterfly garden for better pest management?
As a beginner with a budding interest in permaculture, I’m keen to explore companion planting in my butterfly garden. I've observed that some of my plants struggle with pests, and I’ve read about how certain plants can deter unwanted visitors while attracting beneficial insects. Currently, I have some marigolds alongside my coneflowers, but I'm not sure if I could add other plants that might work better together. Are there specific companion plants that can both attract butterflies and help with pest management? How do I figure out the best combinations without overcrowding my garden? Any insights would be really appreciated!
