Are porous pots effective for heat management in summer?

Living in Berlin, my outdoor garden gets quite warm during the summer months. I've been researching different types of pots, and I came across porous materials like natural stone and some specially formulated ceramics. I’m curious if these types of pots can help regulate the soil temperature better than solid plastic pots. I've read they might keep roots cooler, but I worry about moisture loss as well. Is anyone experienced with using porous pots in hot weather? How do they hold up against heat, and what are the implications for watering schedules? Looking forward to your insights!
