How can I enhance the color vibrancy of my calendula blooms?
I'm currently growing calendula in my suburban garden in Kyoto, and I've noticed that while they bloom beautifully, the colors don't seem as vibrant as those I’ve seen in other gardens. I've been diligent with watering and deadheading, and my plants receive plenty of sunlight, but the orange and yellow hues seem a bit muted. I've tried using a standard organic fertilizer, but I wonder if there’s a specific nutrient imbalance or type of fertilizer that particularly benefits calendula. Is there a way to optimize the soil or any specific amendments I can make to enhance the color intensity of the flowers? Any advice from fellow gardeners would be greatly appreciated!
