Can copper sulfate help prevent root diseases in my hydroponic system?

I'm super passionate about my hydroponic setup here in San Francisco, and I've been experimenting with different nutrient solutions and methods to keep my plants thriving. Recently, I’ve noticed some signs of root diseases in my lettuce and basil, which is such a bummer! 🌱 I've done some reading and found out that copper sulfate might be helpful, but I'm not sure how it works in a hydroponic environment. I've been focusing mainly on hydroponics and vertical gardening, so I’m a bit lost when it comes to chemical treatments. My system is pretty small and compact, which makes me wonder if applying copper sulfate could affect my water quality or the growth of my veggies. Has anyone had experience using it in a hydro setup? Can anyone help with tips on how to use it effectively without harming my plants? Thanks a bunch! 😊
