What are the best soil mixes for container-grown begonias?
I’m trying my hand at growing begonias in containers rather than my usual hydroponics, and I'm curious about the best soil mixes to use. My garden setup is versatile, and I recently received some gorgeous tuberous begonias that I want to plant in decorative containers. I've been experimenting with a few different mixes, but I’m not sure what ratios work best to achieve optimal drainage and aeration while retaining enough moisture. I've heard about mixes incorporating peat, perlite, and sometimes even coconut coir. What has been your experience with soil mixes for container-grown begonias? What specific components do you recommend to ensure healthy growth?
