How can I protect my fig tree from early frost?
As I plan for the colder months in San Francisco, I'm starting to worry about protecting my fig tree from early frost. I know figs can be sensitive to temperature changes, and I don’t want to lose my crop because of a surprise cold snap! I’ve read about mulching and covering them with frost cloth, but what has worked best for others? Should I consider moving my tree if it's in a pot, or is it better to leave it in the ground with some protective measures? Any tips on keeping my tree cozy during the cold would be greatly appreciated! ❄️🥶
