Do houseplants really need to be rotated for even growth?

I'm curious about the whole rotating houseplants thing! I’ve read that turning them helps with even growth, but I’m not sure how important it is. I’ve got a few that seem to be leaning towards the light, and I often forget to give them a spin! My little indoor garden in Tokyo is mostly in a sunny spot by the window, but some corners don’t get as much light. Should I be more diligent about rotating? How often is enough? What’s your take on this? 🤔
