Can I Successfully Incorporate Edible Drought-Tolerant Plants in Raised Beds?
I've recently built several raised beds in my garden, and I'm eager to incorporate edible plants that are drought-tolerant, considering our increasingly dry summers here in Nevada. I’ve primarily grown traditional vegetables that require regular watering, but I would like to explore more resilient alternatives. I’ve read about plants like native squash and certain beans, but I wonder if there are specific planting strategies or companion plants that work well in a raised bed setup to maximize water efficiency. How can I design my planting layout to enhance the success of drought-resistant edibles? Any tips and experiences would be very helpful!
