How to encourage longer flowering periods in bee balm?

As a backyard gardener dedicated to supporting local wildlife, I'm always looking for ways to maximize the contributions of my bee balm plants. I've noticed they put on a fantastic show in mid-summer, but I’d love to extend their flowering period. I’ve been deadheading regularly and providing adequate water, but I'm curious if there are other techniques to encourage a longer flowering season. Are there specific cultivars of bee balm that tend to have prolonged blooms or other practices that I might adopt? Any tips from your experiences would be welcome!
