How can I encourage a bushier growth habit in my bird nest fern?
I absolutely love the lush appearance of a fully developed bird nest fern, and as I’ve built my collection, I’ve become particularly interested in enhancing the bushiness of my plants. Currently, I have a single specimen that’s growing well but appears somewhat leggy, lacking the fullness I desire. I’ve trimmed it back a bit, but I’m not sure how to approach encouraging new growth in the center of the plant. My ambient light is decent, yet I’m contemplating whether adjustments in pruning techniques or altering my approach to feeding could help in achieving that dense growth habit. Are there specific methods or practices you’ve found effective for fostering a bushier appearance in bird nest ferns? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
