Can powdery mildew affect my flower garden too?

Hey everyone! I've been so focused on our vegetable patch that I just realized I need to check on my flower garden as well. We have a mix of marigolds and daisies that the kids helped plant. I’ve read that powdery mildew can be a problem for veggies, but can it also spread to flowers? I want to make sure my kids understand that diseases can affect all parts of the garden, not just veggies. What should I look for in my flowers that might indicate a problem? Any tips on protecting them would be super helpful!
