What signs indicate over-fertilization in bonsai trees?

Given my landscaping background, I understand the importance of proper fertilization, but I'm still learning the nuances of bonsai care. I recently switched to a higher concentration fertilizer to aid my Chinese Elm's growth, but now I’m worried I might have overdone it. I've noticed some leaf yellowing and dropping, and I'm trying to figure out if this is a sign of over-fertilization or could be related to another issue. What are the common signs I should look for, and what immediate actions can I take to rectify this problem? Would love some guidance on best practices to avoid this in the future too!
