How to choose the right annuals for drought-resistant gardening?
Living in a semi-arid region like Cape Town, I'm always trying to push my sustainable gardening practices further, especially when it comes to water conservation. I've been exploring xeriscaping and want to incorporate some annual flowers that are drought-tolerant while still being eye-catching! I've planted some succulents and local groundcovers, but I feel like I could use some seasonal colour, too. What annuals would you recommend that can withstand our hot summers and still thrive with minimal water? I’ve tried a few but would love to expand my knowledge. Any specific varieties or tips on care for drought-resistant annuals? Thanks for all your help, fellow gardeners!
