How do I design functional pathways in my outdoor garden?
My garden layout is currently a bit haphazard, and I want to create a more organized flow. I’ve been inspired by my bonsai experience, where each element has a purpose and place. I have a mix of herbs, vegetables, and decorative plants, and I’m struggling with how to best structure pathways that both look good and provide easy access for maintenance. I’ve tried laying down mulch but didn’t like how it looked over time. What design principles should I consider for making my pathways not just functional but also aesthetically pleasing? Any suggestions on materials or shapes that work well?
