What's the best way to harvest dill without killing the plant?

Hey everyone! I've been growing dill for a while now in my small balcony garden and I really want to start using it in my recipes. My biggest worry is that I might over-harvest and damage the plant. I’ve read that you should only take the top leaves, but I’m not sure how much I can take without hurting the plant's overall health. My dill is getting bushy, which is great, but I want to make sure I do it right. I’ve been using it in a few dishes but want to maximize my harvest without harming the plant. Any harvesting tips would be awesome!
