Is it necessary to sterilize cactus potting soil before planting?

I'm getting ready for a new planting season here in Gujarat, and I plan to pot some fresh cactus varieties that I've recently acquired. I’m wondering whether I should sterilize the cactus potting soil beforehand to eliminate any potential pests or pathogens. I've read conflicting advice on whether this is essential, especially since I'm keen on maintaining an organic approach in my garden. I've been using a heated method for soil sterilization in my vegetable beds, but I'm unsure if the same applies to cactus soil. Can anyone share their insights or experiences regarding this practice?
