How do I manage pests in my compost bin?
So, I've noticed some little critters around my compost bin lately, and I'm a bit worried about it. My vegetable patch is in a small suburban backyard, and I want to keep everything healthy and pest-free. I’ve been diligent about keeping the bin aerated and adding a good mix of greens and browns, but I'm not sure what to do if I have pests like fruit flies or ants. Should I just leave them be, or is there a way to manage them without disrupting the composting process? Any help would be greatly appreciated! ????
