How can I encourage my English ivy to climb instead of trailing?
Hello fellow gardeners! 🌱 My English ivy has been growing like a champ, but it tends to trail down instead of climbing upwards, and I’m really eager to encourage that climbing habit! I’m based in Toronto and have it set up on a shelf with some trellises nearby, but I’m not quite sure how to guide it. I've read that regular pruning can help but I’m curious about other techniques. Should I be training the vines as they grow, or is there a particular time that’s best for encouraging upward growth? Any creative tips on making my ivy a climber would be greatly appreciated! 🌿✨
