What troubleshooting methods work best if my mulch is causing weed growth?
In my meticulous pursuit of a flawless flower garden, I recently noticed an unexpected surge in weed growth around my plants despite using a layer of organic mulch. I'm located in a region with a temperate climate, and my garden is situated near a wooded area, which might contribute to the problem. Initially, I applied about three inches of shredded bark mulch, thinking it would suppress weeds, but they just keep popping up! I’ve been thinking of layering another type of mulch or possibly switching to a different method altogether.
