How can I adjust my soil pH after testing?

Hi everyone! I'm Jane, and I’ve been growing my little garden in our suburban backyard for a few years now. I finally got around to testing my soil, and I found out that the pH is a bit too low for the veggies I want to grow. I've heard that adjusting soil pH can take some time, but I’m not entirely sure how to go about it practically. I want to grow tomatoes and peppers, which I read prefer a higher pH. Should I add lime? How much should I start with? And how long does it usually take to see a change? I really want to get this right so my plants can thrive! Any tips or personal experiences would be amazing! 🍅
