I’ve been conducting some informal research on the relationship between succulents and their soil microbiome. In my indoor garden, I use various soil mixes, but I’ve always wondered how different succulent species might influence the microbial communities in those soils. I’ve tried integrating biochar and beneficial microbes into the soil for improved health, and I’m interested in whether certain succulents can enhance or inhibit specific microbial populations.
