What seasonal activities can engage children in our native gardening efforts?
I'm looking for seasonal activities I can incorporate into my children's garden to keep the kids engaged throughout the year. Given my background in botany and passion for native plants, I want to align these activities with the natural cycles of the garden. Currently, we have various flowering plants and some edibles, but I often find that interest wanes as the seasons change. I've tried simple planting and harvesting tasks, but I feel like there is potential for more creative activities linked to different seasons. What are some hands-on, seasonal gardening activities that can help children understand the importance of native plants while keeping them excited about gardening all year round? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
