How to handle pest issues during orchid repotting?
I'm currently repotting a few of my orchids that I've nurtured over the past couple of years. Living in a tropical climate, I’ve noticed some pests, particularly mealybugs, on the older growths. I’ve been using insecticidal soap and neem oil prior to repotting, but I'm unsure how to best prevent these pests from returning after I transplant them into fresh media. My garden setup includes a shaded area where I keep my orchids to maintain humidity, but I wonder if that’s appealing to these pests too. Can anyone help with strategies or techniques to ensure that my repotted orchids don't fall victim to pests again? I'm particularly interested in organic methods to keep them healthy and thriving without resorting to harsh chemicals.
