What strategies can I use to enhance my lion's mane mushroom yield?
I’m currently growing lion's mane mushrooms in my backyard here in Berlin, where I've cultivated a permaculture haven for over 40 years. I've been experimenting with various substrates and microclimates to see what works best, and while I’ve had some success, I want to take my yield to the next level. My garden setup includes a shaded area with plenty of organic matter and a nearby compost pile, which I thought would be beneficial. However, I’m not sure if I'm maximizing the potential of my growing conditions. I’ve tried different wood types for my substrate, but I’m still seeking advice on specific practices that could further boost production. Can anyone share advanced techniques or tips that have worked for them to enhance the yield of lion's mane mushrooms in a permaculture setting? I’m excited to learn more about optimizing conditions to produce a bountiful harvest!
