How to extend the life of my herb plants during colder months?
Being 65, I've become quite the expert in bringing out the best of my perennial and native plants, but I struggle a bit with my herbs when the colder months roll in. I’ve got a nice collection of mint, thyme, and rosemary that I’d love to keep thriving through winter. In the past, I’ve tried bringing them indoors, but they don’t seem to do well in my kitchen lighting. I’ve also tried mulching them heavily, but I’ve lost a few each year. I’m looking for practical advice on how to protect them during the winter months. What methods have worked for you? Any tips on winter care would be invaluable!
