How can I engage my community to participate in the composting process?

As I continue my work in urban green spaces, one of my goals is to foster greater community involvement in our gardening projects. We've established a compost tumbler as part of our community garden, but I find it challenging to get people actively participating in the composting process. My experience has shown that many community members are unfamiliar with the concept of composting, even though they’ve expressed interest in sustainable practices. I’ve conducted workshops and provided informational flyers, but I believe we need a more hands-on, engaging approach. What innovative ideas or activities have you used to encourage community members to get involved with composting? Whether it's fun events, educational strategies, or collaborative efforts, I’d really appreciate any suggestions to help build that engagement!
