How do I manage heirloom tomato spacing in my urban garden?

I'm really excited about growing heirloom tomatoes in my 1000 sq ft urban garden this year! 🌱 I have a mix of containers and raised beds. I've read that spacing is crucial for airflow and growth, but I'm a bit confused about how much space each plant really needs. I've been trying to research it, but the recommendations seem to vary quite a bit. Some sources say 2 feet, while others suggest up to 3 feet apart! My garden is in a sunny spot, but I'm worried about overcrowding since I can only fit a certain number of plants. Can anyone share their experiences or best practices for spacing heirloom tomatoes specifically in an urban setup? I really want to maximize my harvest while keeping the plants healthy. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! 😊
