How can I effectively manage watering heirloom tomatoes in containers?
I’m super excited about my heirloom tomato project on my NYC balcony! 🌆 However, I’m worried about overwatering or underwatering my plants since container gardening can sometimes be tricky. My setup consists of a few 5-gallon containers, and I’ve read that heirloom tomatoes can be pretty sensitive to their watering needs. I’ve been watering them every few days, but I’ve noticed signs of wilting on some days and others where the soil seems too soggy. What’s the right balance? Any tips on how to gauge when it’s time to water or how to set up a schedule would be greatly appreciated! 😊
