Can I save heirloom bean seeds for next season?

I'm super interested in the idea of saving seeds from my heirloom beans! I've been growing a few varieties in my garden, and they’ve been flourishing. However, I'm a bit nervous about the seed-saving process since I've heard some things about how to do it right. What’s the best way to go about collecting and storing seeds to ensure they stay viable for next season? Should I be concerned about cross-pollination, or is that not an issue with beans? I’d love to hear your experiences and advice on seed saving! 🌼
